Morocco is deepening its engagement with young members of its diaspora through the fifth edition of the “Morocco with Purpose” program, an initiative designed to strengthen their connection with the Kingdom while promoting a deeper understanding of its history, culture and national identity.

The new edition was officially launched in the presence of André Azoulay, Advisor to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid. More than 60 young Moroccans from around the world are taking part in the two-week program.

Participants follow a comprehensive schedule that combines training sessions, thematic workshops and field visits across Morocco. The program focuses on the Kingdom’s cultural heritage, national identity and historical development, giving participants a broader perspective on Morocco’s past and present.

As part of the experience, the group visits several historic cities and cultural landmarks, providing firsthand exposure to Morocco’s architectural heritage, diverse traditions and rich civilization. These immersive activities are intended to strengthen participants’ emotional and cultural ties with their country of origin.

Beyond cultural discovery, the initiative seeks to foster a lasting sense of belonging among young Moroccans living abroad. By highlighting the country’s history, values and national priorities, the program encourages participants to develop a stronger appreciation of their Moroccan identity.

Organizers also aim to equip participants with knowledge they can share in their countries of residence. The initiative encourages them to serve as ambassadors for Morocco by promoting the Kingdom’s image, explaining its national priorities and strengthening understanding of Moroccan culture within their communities abroad.

With more than 60 participants joining this year’s edition, “Morocco with Purpose” continues to build stronger bridges between Morocco and its global diaspora, placing the country’s younger generations at the heart of efforts to preserve cultural ties and promote international engagement.
