Royal Moroccan Football Federation announced that FIFA has officially approved the change of sporting nationality for Ayoub Bouaddi, making the young midfielder immediately eligible to represent Morocco national football team in international competitions.

According to a statement released by the FRMF, the decision was issued on May 15, 2026, by FIFA’s Players’ Status Chamber following a request submitted by the Moroccan football authority regarding the player, who currently plays for LOSC Lille in France.

The ruling confirms Bouaddi’s official authorization to wear the Moroccan jersey at all international levels with immediate effect, ending speculation surrounding his sporting future.

Considered one of the most promising young talents emerging from French football, Bouaddi has attracted growing attention in recent seasons thanks to his performances with Lille and his technical profile in midfield.

The approval represents another important addition for Moroccan football as the Kingdom continues strengthening its national team with high-potential dual-nationality players competing in major European leagues.
