Al Jabr International School is expanding its presence in Casablanca with the opening of a new campus in the CIL district. The French school, accredited by France’s Ministry of National Education and affiliated with the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), is strengthening the Holged Group’s educational network in the city, which already includes campuses in Oasis, Bouskoura and Dar Bouazza.
The new campus is designed around a distinctive educational model that combines the French curriculum with intensive daily exposure to English. Nearly half of classroom instruction is delivered in English, giving students the opportunity to use the language not only as a subject, but as a tool for learning and communication.
From kindergarten onward, students are exposed to English on a daily basis. Mathematics, science, digital programming, physical education, arts and music are among the subjects taught in English. This approach is intended to develop practical language skills while allowing students to learn, reason, communicate and work collaboratively in an English-speaking environment.
The school also prepares students for Cambridge English certifications, internationally recognised qualifications that provide benchmarks for their language development throughout their education.
English is not the only additional language at the heart of the programme. Arabic receives particular attention, reflecting Al Jabr’s long-standing approach to Arabic-language education. The result is a trilingual environment in primary school, while students from Cycle 4 onward can add German or Spanish, creating a broader multilingual pathway through secondary education.
The new campus also builds on four decades of experience in French education within the Al Jabr network. Its academic programme combines the French curriculum with personalised support, smaller class sizes and an emphasis on innovation, academic excellence and student wellbeing.
Beyond academic achievement, the school places importance on developing students’ independence, creativity, critical thinking and confidence. Sports, arts, cultural activities and civic education are integrated into the broader educational experience, with the aim of providing students with a balanced learning environment.
According to Cyrille Loffroy, Head of Al Jabr and Al Jabr International School, the project brings together Al Jabr’s established academic standards and the growing importance of multilingual education. The programme is designed to prepare students for French and French International Baccalaureate pathways under AEFE accreditation and to facilitate access to universities in Morocco and abroad.
With its new CIL campus, Al Jabr International School is therefore positioning itself around a clear objective: offering a French educational pathway in which English is part of everyday learning rather than simply another school subject. The ambition is to graduate students who are academically prepared, multilingual and able to pursue further studies both in Morocco and internationally.
