Airports of Morocco has taken another step in its digital transformation by introducing fully mobile boarding passes across its airport network. The new service allows passengers to complete their airport journey using only their smartphone, eliminating the need for a printed boarding pass.

The initiative is part of the country’s broader effort to modernize the passenger experience as digital services become an essential part of air travel. Booking flights, checking in and accessing travel information are already handled online, and the introduction of digital boarding passes extends this seamless experience from departure to boarding.

After completing online check-in through their airline’s website or mobile application, travelers receive a secure QR code that serves as their boarding pass. Since document verification is carried out in advance by airlines in accordance with applicable regulations, passengers can move more efficiently through security checkpoints and automated gates without presenting a paper document.

By reducing paperwork and simplifying airport procedures, Airports of Morocco aims to improve passenger flow, shorten waiting times and make travel more convenient. The organization emphasized that the new system maintains the highest national and international safety and security standards.

The digital boarding pass solution will be introduced gradually across airlines that meet the required technical, operational and regulatory conditions for integration into the system.
