OFPPT has approved an ambitious 2026 action plan aimed at accelerating vocational training development in Morocco, with a stronger focus on emerging professions and youth employability.

Meeting in Rabat under the chairmanship of Younes Sekkouri, the institution’s board of directors validated a MAD 6.3 billion budget alongside a major expansion of training programs across the country.

The plan includes the launch and restructuring of 880 training streams, including 65 new or redesigned programs targeting fast-growing sectors such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and the green economy.

The session was attended by Loubna Tricha as well as representatives of CGEM, reflecting continued coordination between public institutions and the private sector to better align training with labor market needs.

OFPPT also reaffirmed its commitment to several large-scale strategic projects, including the development of the “Cities of Trades and Skills,” the “TADARROJ” apprenticeship program and a partnership with Royal Air Maroc for the management of the Moroccan Academy of Aeronautics.

According to the institution, Morocco will have 511 vocational training establishments and more than 424,000 educational seats available under the 2026 program, reinforcing OFPPT’s central role in skills development, workforce integration and youth inclusion.

The initiative comes as Morocco continues investing heavily in human capital development and technical training to support industrial transformation, digitalization and emerging economic sectors.
