Ministry of Transport and Logistics, Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion and CDG Incept have launched a major initiative aimed at fully digitizing Morocco’s road transport sector, marking a new phase in the country’s broader digital transformation strategy.

The agreement, signed in Rabat by Transport and Logistics Minister Abdessamad Kayouh and CDG Director General Khalid Safir, sets out a six-month transition plan designed to modernize freight and international transport operations through a fully integrated digital ecosystem.

The project forms part of Morocco’s national “Digital Morocco 2030” roadmap and follows the Kingdom’s wider efforts to accelerate the digitization of public services and administrative procedures. Under the new framework, transport operators and drivers will gain access to a centralized digital platform capable of monitoring real-time operational data including vehicle speed, travel distances and geolocation tracking.

Speaking after the signing ceremony in Rabat, Kayouh said the objective is to simplify access to transport-related services and information while reducing the need for in-person administrative procedures at ministry offices across the country.

Safir described the agreement as an important first step toward modernizing the Ministry’s operational systems, noting that the initiative would also strengthen compliance with international standards governing cross-border transport and logistics activities.

The partnership reflects Morocco’s growing focus on smart infrastructure, digital governance and institutional cooperation as the country seeks to modernize key economic sectors and improve service efficiency for businesses and citizens alike.
