Coronavirus Canada Updates: Ottawa sees fewer than 100 new cases of COVID-19 in one-day dip

Quebec has recorded 637 new cases of COVID-19, the provincial government announced this morning.

That’s the biggest one-day jump since May 23.

Four new deaths were reported, all of which occurred between Sept. 17 and 24.

The number of hospitalizations increased by 15 to reach 199.

Quebec has not had this many people in hospital with COVID-19 since July 30.

Among those in hospital, 33 are in intensive care – two more than the previous day.

A record 36,060 people were tested on Wednesday, the last day for which screening data is available.
