A technology project using artificial intelligence to improve communication for people with hearing disabilities has been recognized in Morocco.
Inwi awarded its i-TECH Prize to the Junior Enterprise “Isharatech” during the 18th edition of the Company Program organized by INJAZ Al-Maghrib for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Isharatech has developed a platform designed to facilitate communication between people with hearing disabilities and those who do not understand sign language. The solution uses artificial intelligence to translate sign language into text or voice in real time.
The award highlights a technology-driven approach focused on inclusion. It also reflects the growing interest among young Moroccans in developing digital solutions that address concrete social challenges.
Organized annually by INJAZ Al-Maghrib, the Company Program gives Moroccan students the opportunity to experience the different stages of building and managing a business. From developing an initial idea to marketing a product or service, participants receive guidance from volunteer professionals.
More than 6,900 students from over 120 educational institutions across Morocco took part in this year’s edition. The program allows participants to strengthen their entrepreneurial skills while gaining practical insight into the business environment.
Through the i-TECH Prize, inwi is placing particular emphasis on projects that combine technology with social impact. The telecom operator aims to encourage young entrepreneurs to use digital technologies to address real-world needs.
The recognition given to Isharatech reflects this approach. It also highlights the role of entrepreneurship programs in helping young people transform innovative ideas into practical projects.
The partnership between inwi and INJAZ Al-Maghrib is part of a broader effort to introduce young people to entrepreneurship, digital skills and the different stages involved in developing a business.
Through this initiative, inwi continues to support Morocco’s entrepreneurial ecosystem while promoting innovation and technology-driven projects led by the country’s younger generation.
