Rebel Wilson Reveals How Many Calories She Eats Per Day, Report

Rebel Wilson is in the best shape of her life thanks to her ‘Year Of Health,’ and lucky for us, she’s totally willing to share all the lessons she’s learned about eating and exercise.

Last week, the 40-year-old actress went live on Instagram to reveal she’d reached her goal weight of 74 kilos with a month to spare. She also got real about having “pretty bad” habits (she was previously consuming up to 3,000 calories per day) and how she turned everything around – both physically and mentally. “I really just felt like having a chat with everyone,” she began the video.

“I was determined in 2020, the Year of Health, to actually fully change my whole entire lifestyle.”For starters, she now focuses on eating tons of protein. “My body just responds well to protein,” she explained, adding that she loves salmon, chicken breast and protein shakes. She’s also careful with her daily calorie intake. “Nutritionally, the only thing is I do try to stay under 1,500 calories because of my body type. If want to lose weight in that week, I kind of have to stay under the 1,500 each day.”

Now that Rebel’s happy with where her weight is at, she said she’ll probably bump this up to 2,000-2,500 calories a day as she “needs a little bit more” to maintain it.But the Pitch Perfect star hasn’t solely been focused on her diet these past few months: she now exercises regularly too. “I’m in a lucky position,” she said.“I do have access to really amazing personal trainers but I want you guys to know that the majority of the exercise that I’ve done this year has just been me going out for a walk. That is free. You can do it. It’s safe.”Rebel shared that she’s “lost about 28 kilos” since adopting these healthy habits and she’s “really glad” she did it because she’d been “overweight for about 20 years.”

“The goal was never to be skinny,” she said. “It was never to fit into a certain dress size. I put in a goal weight in there because I needed some tangible thing.”“I think it was time,” she continued. “What I’m proud of myself is doing that and having a lot more balance now in my life.”

Back in May, Rebel revealed that she’d been “working hard” on her fitness and health despite “constant setbacks.”

“Even if you have to crawl towards your goals, keep going, it will be worth it,” she wrote in a motivating message on Instagram.

“Try and give a little bit of effort each day…I know some days are frustrating as hell, you feel like giving up, you get annoyed at the lack of progress…but good things are coming your way.”
