Police: Two people injured in armed robbery at Kitchener home

An early morning home invasion sent two to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Tuesday at 12:50 a.m., police were called to a home in the Westwood Drive and Westmount Road area for a robbery.

Two men had gone to the home carrying weapons, including a gun, and stole personal property, police said.

Two victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were treated by paramedics.

Police believe the incident is targeted, are there are no concerns for public safety.

A warrant has been requested for one of the men, for robbery, unauthorized possession of a firearm, carry a concealed weapon, disobey court order and breach of probation.
