The provincial COVID-19 vaccine appointment portal is expected to begin accepting bookings from Ontarians aged 30 and up at some point this week.

People aged 18 to 29 years old will get the opportunity to book an appointment through the provincial online system during the following week.

The plan calls for 65% of all eligible adults in the province to have received at least a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by the end of May.

After two weeks of directing a portion of the vaccine supply to hot spots like Peel Region, the plan is to return to per capita allocation of vaccine across the province this week.

Officials report more than 54% of adults living in COVID-19 hot spots have received at least a single vaccine dose, reversing a trend that saw these residents less likely to have been vaccinated.
