Alberta Health Services has declared an outbreak at Chris Akkerman School in Calgary.

This comes the same day a letter was sent home to parents of students at Foothills Composite High School in Okotoks from AHS, saying there was an outbreak there.

The letter appeared on the Support Our Students (SOS) website.

SOS says 76 schools have reported cases of the virus, 13 have declared outbreaks, meaning two to four infections and one.

St. Wilfrid Elementary in Calgary is under a watch, meaning five or more cases.

In Thursday’s provincial update, Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw said the government is only reporting ten outbreaks.

The outbreak at the Okotoks school is not on their list.
