Belgian real estate developer Macan Development is strengthening its presence in Morocco with the launch of its first residential project in Rabat, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion beyond Marrakech, where it has been operating for more than a decade.
The new development will be located in the administrative district of Morocco’s capital and will feature a five-story upscale residential building comprising around 20 apartments. The project represents an investment of approximately MAD 50 million.
The Rabat development is part of a broader investment strategy announced by the group in 2024. Macan plans to invest nearly MAD 1.5 billion across Morocco over the next five years, in addition to the roughly MAD 600 million already committed to projects in Marrakech.
To deliver its first project in Rabat, Macan Development is partnering with Moroccan construction company K Stone Construction. The collaboration reflects the group’s ambition to establish a stronger footprint in the country’s key urban markets.
Morocco has become a strategic growth destination for the Belgian developer. Beyond Rabat and Marrakech, the company is actively exploring investment opportunities in Agadir, Kenitra and Dakhla, targeting several real estate segments, including residential, office and commercial developments.
Macan operates under the umbrella of Macan Group, which brings together several specialized businesses. Macan Development focuses on property development, while Macan Properties manages rental assets. The group is also active in real estate advisory services through Sotheby’s International Realty Morocco and Belgium, alongside Castell Management, which provides property management services for third-party assets.
