CIH Bank and Mastercard are strengthening their premium customer experience strategy in Morocco through the sixth edition of the World Elite Cup, a golf event that brought together more than 170 participants in El Jadida on October 15, 2026.

Reserved for Mastercard World Elite cardholders and their guests, the tournament combined sporting competition with exclusive activities. This year’s edition, themed “British Escape,” featured English professional golfer Georgia Hall, winner of the 2018 AIG Women’s Open and a competitor on both the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour.

Beyond the competition, the event highlighted the growing role of personalized experiences in the banking sector. Through initiatives such as the World Elite Cup, CIH Bank and Mastercard aim to offer customers more than traditional financial services, placing leisure, travel and exclusive access at the center of their premium proposition.

Georgia Hall led a coaching session for participants and joined the awards ceremony. One of the day’s highlights was the “Closest to the Pin” challenge, whose winner received an all-inclusive trip to attend The Open Championship, one of golf’s most prestigious international tournaments.

For Mastercard, the initiative reflects a broader strategy to strengthen relationships with high-value customers through distinctive experiences. Mohamed Benomar, Country Manager for Northwest Africa at Mastercard, emphasized the group’s commitment to developing privileged experiences while reinforcing ties with customers and partners.

Amal Mouhoub, Deputy General Manager responsible for strategic marketing and communications at CIH Bank, highlighted the shared ambition to meet premium customers’ expectations for personalization and service quality.

The partnership also puts the spotlight on the benefits associated with the Mastercard World Elite card. According to the companies, the offering includes a round-the-clock concierge service, hotel privileges, car rental benefits, personalized shopping experiences and access to more than 1,200 airport VIP lounges worldwide for cardholders and one accompanying guest.

Travel medical insurance is another component of the package, including a daily hospitalization allowance, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

By bringing together golf, hospitality and premium banking services, the World Elite Cup illustrates how financial institutions in Morocco are seeking to differentiate their offers through customer engagement and exclusive lifestyle benefits. For CIH Bank and Mastercard, the event provides an opportunity to reinforce their positioning among customers looking for services that extend beyond everyday banking.
