Toronto Police Release Identity of Downtown Stabbing Victim

Police have identified the victim of a fatal daylight stabbing at a downtown Toronto apartment complex on Sunday.

Nelson Niyonbago, 26, of Toronto, died at the scene, according to Toronto Police.

Officers were called to an apartment building at 251 Sherbourne St., just north of Dundas St. E., around 3:40 p.m. for reports of a man stabbed.

Rashid Ali, 31, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
