Sterifil Extends Medical Device Quality Certification

Sterifil has renewed its NM ISO 13485:2016 certification, reinforcing its quality management framework for medical devices. The certification is now valid through July 16, 2029.

The renewal confirms the company’s continued compliance with a quality management standard specifically designed for organizations operating in the medical device sector.

ISO 13485 sets requirements covering quality management, product safety, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. For Sterifil, maintaining this certification provides a framework for controlling its processes across several activities within the medical device supply chain.

The Moroccan company operates across multiple segments, including the import and distribution of medical devices as well as their manufacturing. Its activities also extend to medical sterilization and the assembly of medical kits.

The renewed certification therefore covers a business model that combines industrial operations with specialized medical services. Process control and compliance with applicable quality requirements remain central to these activities.

With the certification extended until 2029, Sterifil intends to continue developing its operations while maintaining the standards required for medical devices. The company highlights quality control, regulatory compliance and the reliability of its medical solutions as key priorities.

The renewal also comes as Morocco’s healthcare and medical device ecosystem continues to place greater emphasis on quality standards, traceability and compliance across the sector.
