Police: Mississauga man, 78, seriously injured after being struck by driver

A 78-year-old pedestrian is in hospital with life-altering injuries after he was struck by a vehicle in Mississauga on Thursday evening.

Peel police were called to the area of Derry Road West and Danton Promenade for a collision shortly after 7 p.m.

The male victim was rushed to a trauma centre in life threatening condition.

The driver of the vehicle involved remained on scene.

The major collisions bureau has taken over the investigation.
