Police: Man dies after falling through ice on Young Loon Lake

Big River RCMP is investigating after a man fell through the ice and died while snowmobiling on young Loon Lake last week.

On Nov. 18 RCMP said they were called to Young Loon Lake around 7:45 p.m. where they determined a 40-year-old man from the area fell through the ice after driving on the lake with his snowmobile.

They found the man in the water pulled him out. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

RCMP have notified the man’s family.
