Dr. Dre's wife of 24 years reportedly files for divorce, Report

Dr. Dre is one of the biggest names in the rap industry and has collaborated with hundreds of major hip hop artists. But it isn’t all sunny skies for the rapper whose wife Nicole Young just filed for divorce after being married for 24 years.

In the paperwork, Nicole cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for ending the marriage. She is seeking spousal support but it was revealed that the couple did not sign a prenup before getting married. The music mogul has an estimated net worth of around $800 million dollars and Business Insider called him “one of the richest men in hip hop.” Dr. Dre first got his start in the music world when he joined the rap group N.W.A. with rappers Eazy-E and Ice Cube in the ’80s. He is also the man that is credited for helping jumpstart the careers of Eminem and 50 Cent. Both rappers have gone on to have immensely successful careers and even feature him on some of their songs. Being a producer, rapper, mogul and businessman, Dr. Dre wears many hats.

Who could forget his iconic headlining Coachella performance with Snoop Dogg in 2012? Plus, you can’t go anywhere without seeing someone wearing Beats by Dre, his super successful line of headphones that were first released in 2008. Point blank, the man has a lot of money, so Nicole will definitely be taken care of.

The Couple Always Flaunted Their Love On Instagram

The couple have two children together, son Truice, 23, and daughter Truly, 19. Since their children are adults, child support will not play a factor in the divorce proceedings. Dr. Dre also has two daughters Tyra Young and La Tanya Danielle Young and two sons Marcel and Curtis from previous relationships. His son Andre Young Jr. died in 2008. The pair were constantly posing together for social media and even celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary in an elaborate way. They took a helicopter all the way to New York City to see “Hamilton” on Broadway, the show that was absolutely impossible to get tickets for due to its popularity. That was definitely a grand gesture.
