Coronavirus Canada Updates: Alberta logs 'estimated' 500 COVID-19 cases; dip result of testing decline over Christmas

Health officials reported 551 more cases and 38 more deaths in Ontario on Tuesday. This brings the provincial total number of cases and deaths to 11,735 and 584 respectively.

The majority of the cases identified in Ontario have been female (56.8 per cent) and people between the ages of 40 and 59 (31.2 per cent). There have been 859 patients in the province that required hospitalization for coronavirus, while 5,806 people have recovered.
