Coronavirus Canada Updates: 133 new cases of COVID-19, 3 more deaths in Manitoba

Health and Social Services Haldimand and Norfolk reported one new confirmed case of COVID-19 on Sunday morning, while one more case has been resolved.

Of 498 lab-confirmed cases in Haldimand Norfolk since the pandemic began, there are currently six active cases. Those deemed to have recovered stands at 455, with 32 COVID-related deaths.

The Brant County Health Unit reported four new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Sunday morning.

There are now 9 active cases in Brantford-Brant, but none are currently hospitalized.

One more person’s case has been resolved, bringing that total to 191 of the 205 confirmed cases reported since the pandemic began.

The change in statistics from Saturday’s health unit report indicates that two men and two women, all from the city of Brantford have contracted the virus.

Two of the new confirmed cases involve people under the age of 20, while one new case exists in both the 20 to 39 and 40-59 age groups.

Contact tracing results are still pending for nine individuals to determine the method of transmission of the virus.

At Six Nations of the Grand River, the most recent numbers from Friday indicate there are currently seven active cases of COVID-19, comprised of five lab-confirmed and two probable cases.

Six Nations public health officials consider a probable case to be positive when an individual has declined testing but is identified as having a high risk of exposure.
