Coronavirus: Alberta offers COVID-19 ICU support to Manitoba amid province’s 3rd wave

Provincial health officials announced 92 new cases of COVID-19 and 2 more deaths in Manitoba Friday.
There are 1,169 active cases in Manitoba, with 213 people in hospital, 27 of them in intensive care.

The five-day test positivity rate is 5.7 in Manitoba, and 4.2 in Winnipeg.

The new deaths include:

• a man in his 80s from the Winnipeg health region
• a woman in her 90s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to the outbreak at Golden Links Lodge

Of the new cases announced Friday, 35 are in the Winnipeg health region, 2 in Southern Health; 2 in Interlake–Eastern; 3 in Prairie Mountain; and 50 in Northern Health.
