Our Homicide Unit is on scene and investigating after a body was found in an alley by a citizen out walking their dog.

Police were called today, Sunday, July 3, 2022, at approximately 9:30 a.m., for reports of a body that was located in an alley behind the 1100 block of Frontenac Avenue S.W. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased male. The death is considered suspicious.

Investigators are in the process of speaking with nearby residents and collecting CCTV from the area to determine how the man ended up in the alley. Any residents who have not yet spoken with police and have CCTV from the area are asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234.

An autopsy will be scheduled for early this week.
