The Missouri State Highway Patrol shared a dashcam video of one of their troopers nearly being struck by a semi-truck on Interstate 70 on Wednesday.

MSHP Troop F said Trooper Eric Penrod was working a crash on I-70 in Callaway County on Wednesday.

While he was standing out of camera view to the left of his patrol vehicle, he was nearly struck by a speeding semi-truck that lost control on the snow and ice-covered highway.

The MSHP said luckily, Trooper Penrod was able to leap out of the way.
