The body of a missing 25-year-old man has been found.

Earlier Sunday, Carnduff RCMP and the Saskatchewan RCMP Underwater Recovery Team investigated the report of the missing man.

The man told his family in the afternoon on Christmas Eve that he was planning to go ice fishing north of the Alameda Dam. He said he was travelling on his red Arctic Cat 700 ATV. He had not been heard from since.

An organized search was carried out on the night of Christmas Eve, to the morning of Christmas Day.

An ATV of the same model was found by the Oxbow Fire Department under the ice north of the Alameda Dam. The 25-year-old man was not located at that time.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. Sunday, the body of the 25-year-old man was located. RCMP said the mans family and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service have been notified.

Carnduff RCMP would also like to thank the Oxbow Fire Department for its assistance.
