Officers from the Hawkesbury detachment are continuing to investigate the cause of a weekend crash that killed a 27-year-old Hawkesbury resident, the Ontario Provincial Police said Monday.

OPP officers, Prescott-Russell paramedics and the Nation Township firefighters responded after the vehicle went through the guard rail of the Henri Séguin Bridge at the intersection of County Road 9 and Concession 12 just after 4 p.m. Saturday.

The driver, who police did not identify, was pronounced dead at the scene.
