Radisson Hotel Group is strengthening its presence in Morocco, identifying the Kingdom as one of its key growth markets in Africa as international tourism continues to expand and investor interest in branded hospitality gains momentum.
The hotel operator announced strong global development during the first half of 2026, signing and opening 160 hotels representing more than 22,000 rooms across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific. The performance reflects sustained demand for internationally recognized hotel brands and continued confidence from property owners and investors.
Morocco has emerged as a central pillar of the group’s African strategy. Supported by rising visitor numbers, improved air connectivity and ongoing investment in tourism infrastructure, the country is attracting growing attention from international hospitality companies seeking long-term opportunities.
Radisson Hotel Group aims to build a portfolio of 30 hotels in Morocco by 2030, focusing on a mix of business destinations, leisure resorts and urban developments. Among its latest projects are the Radisson Blu Resort & Conference Center in Casablanca Bouskoura and the first Radisson-branded hotel in Rabat, reinforcing the company’s commitment to expanding across the Kingdom.
The company’s ambitions align with Morocco’s rapidly growing tourism sector. After welcoming 19.8 million visitors in 2025, the country maintained its upward trajectory during the first quarter of 2026, receiving 4.3 million tourists, a 7% increase compared with the same period a year earlier. These figures continue to strengthen Morocco’s reputation as one of Africa’s most dynamic tourism destinations.
Across Africa, Radisson Hotel Group has now surpassed 100 hotels either operating or under development, underscoring the continent’s strategic importance within its long-term expansion plans. The company is also pursuing growth in Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific while investing in luxury, lifestyle and sustainable hospitality concepts.
With Morocco positioning itself as a regional tourism and investment hub, Radisson Hotel Group sees the Kingdom as a market capable of supporting sustained expansion. The company believes its portfolio of international brands and flexible operating models will help meet the country’s growing demand for high-quality accommodation while contributing to the evolution of its hospitality industry.
