Man charged with second-degree murder in Scarborough nightclub shooting

A 32-year-old Toronto man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of Mohamed Asser.

Police were called to a nightclub on Nugget Avenue, near McCowan Road and Sheppard Avenue East, just before 4 a.m. on December 13.

Police located Asser suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to a trauma centre but was pronounced dead shortly therafter.

On Saturday, police arrested Jonathan Hill and charged him with second degree murder.
