Female dead, man in custody after Mississauga store stabbing

A woman is dead and a male suspect has taken to hospital following an alleged stabbing in Mississauga.

Peel police say they were called to the area of Mavis Road and Britannia Road in Mississauga at around 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19 following a report of a man and woman being injured.

Following their initial investigation, police allege that the woman was stabbed and has since been pronounced dead.

The injured man, who police believe is a suspect in the stabbing, was arrested and taken to hospital. They did not provide further details on the man’s condition.

Police also did not immediately provide any further information about the victim.
