A delegation from the Amadeus Institute has held high-level meetings in Beijing as part of efforts to deepen strategic cooperation between Morocco and China. The visit comes as the two countries mark the tenth anniversary of their strategic partnership, established in 2016 by His Majesty King Mohammed VI and Xi Jinping.

Led by Institute President Brahim Fassi Fihri, the Moroccan delegation met with senior Chinese officials, including Zhai Jun and Zhou Pingjian.

The discussions focused on opportunities to further strengthen the Sino-Moroccan strategic partnership, which has expanded significantly over the past decade across economic, diplomatic and development sectors. Both sides also exchanged views on major geopolitical and geoeconomic developments shaping regional and international affairs.

A key aspect of the talks involved exploring mechanisms to reinforce institutional dialogue between Morocco and China. The meetings also addressed the participation of leading Chinese officials in international events organized by the Amadeus Institute, particularly the renowned MEDays International Forum, which has become a prominent platform for global dialogue on political, economic and strategic issues.

The Beijing visit reflects ongoing efforts to promote stronger engagement between Moroccan and Chinese institutions at a time when both countries are seeking to expand cooperation in areas ranging from investment and infrastructure to international governance and sustainable development.

The initiative aligns with the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which promotes diversified and structured partnerships with major international actors. Through strengthened dialogue and cooperation, Morocco continues to position itself as a bridge between regions and a key contributor to stability, shared prosperity and a more balanced international order.

As Morocco and China celebrate a decade of strategic partnership, the latest discussions in Beijing highlight the growing importance of bilateral relations and the willingness of both nations to explore new avenues of cooperation in an increasingly complex global environment.
