Alberta: four people injured after private plane crashes at Westlock Regional Airport

Three people were taken to hospital after a plane crashed at an airport about one hour north of Edmonton on Sunday.

The plane with four passengers flipped and was seriously damaged at the airport in Westlock, Alta., around 11:10 a.m.

The status of the fourth passenger is unknown.

In a statement, Westlock RCMP say “there is no information on the severity of the injuries.”

RCMP, EMS and fire crews were on the scene.

The exact cause of the crash is unknown and under investigation.

Transport Canada has been notified.
