Maurice said a woman was taken into custody in relation to the crash and charges are pending.
It’s not clear how exactly she may have been involved in the incident or what charges she may face.
Maurice said the intersection would be closed for “a number of hours” as investigators process the scene.
“We are asking anybody who may have been in the area at the time of the incident to contact our investigators if they heard or saw anything,” Maurice added.
“Or anybody in the area who may have been driving by with dashcam video, if they can contact our investigators or if they wish to remain anonymous they can contact Crime Stoppers.”
