Ryanair Expands Morocco Network With Four New Routes for Summer 2027

Morocco is set to gain new air connections with Europe as Ryanair prepares to expand its network for the summer 2027 season. The Irish low-cost carrier has announced four additional routes, strengthening links between northern Morocco, Marrakech and several European destinations.

Tangier will receive three of the new connections, linking the city with Alicante in Spain, Krakow in Poland and Turin in Italy. Marrakech will gain a new route to Palermo, the capital of Sicily.

The four routes form part of Ryanair’s broader network expansion. The airline included them among the first 29 routes announced on October 9. Tickets are already available through its website and mobile application, according to the company. However, launch dates and flight frequencies for the Morocco connections have yet to be disclosed.

The expansion could improve travel options for both international visitors and Moroccan residents. Tangier’s growing role as an industrial, business and tourism hub makes additional European links particularly relevant. Meanwhile, Marrakech remains one of the country’s leading destinations for international leisure travel.

The announcement follows Ryanair’s plans to significantly increase its Moroccan operations during the winter 2026–2027 season. The airline expects to offer 5.3 million seats to and from Morocco, an increase of 580,000 seats, or 12%, compared with the previous winter.

Its winter schedule includes 156 routes, with 17 new connections across 14 countries. Planned additions include Rabat–Stockholm, Rabat–Krakow and Marrakech–Wroclaw, alongside new services from Agadir to Milan Malpensa, Nuremberg, Bratislava and Gdansk.

Rabat is also becoming a more important part of Ryanair’s Moroccan strategy. The airline has established its fifth base in the country in the capital, supporting the expansion of its domestic operations and international connections.

Ryanair plans to operate 16 aircraft based in Morocco, including two in Rabat, representing a declared investment of $1.6 billion. The company says its Moroccan activities support more than 8,500 local jobs.

Further route announcements are expected in the coming months as the airline continues to develop its summer 2027 schedule. For Morocco, the expansion offers additional opportunities to diversify source markets, improve international accessibility and support tourism activity beyond the traditional peak season.
