78-year-old man dies in South Osborne crash (Winnipeg police)

A 78-year-old pedestrian was killed in a collision on Osborne Street on Sunday night, Winnipeg police say.

Just before 10 p.m., emergency crews responded to the 500 block of Osborne near Bartlett Avenue to a report of a car crash involving a pedestrian.

A 78-year-old man was taken to hospital in unstable condition and later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle, a woman in her 80s, remained at the scene and met with police.

The Traffic Division is continuing the investigation. Anyone with information regarding the collision or that may have witnessed it is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-7085.
