42-year-old man Man Dead After Snowmobile Crash Near Happy Valley-Goose Bay

A 42-year-old man is dead as the result of a snowmobile crash on the ice near the mouth of the Goose River near Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

RCMP were called just before midnight on Saturday, April 2.

Police say the machine struck a piece of driftwood that was partially covered in snow.

The driver, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the machine and died as a result.

The RCMP and Chief Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating.
